The Project

Set high above the valleys of Lookout Mountain, Georgia, The Outpost Station is a destination golf development by Scenic Land Company LLC, led by Duane Horton, designed to merge dramatic cliffside views with refined architecture and world-class course design.

To help stakeholders fully understand and confidently move forward with the project prior to construction, the client partnered with Panoram CGI to create a series of 3D renderings that would clearly communicate the vision, scale, and experience of the development. Scenic Land Company LL wanted the visuals to do more than look compelling. They had to present the golf holes and supporting buildings as one cohesive environment, accurately capture the mountain’s elevation changes and cliffside drama, and faithfully represent terrain, tree density, and surrounding views so stakeholders could instantly grasp the project’s character, spatial relationships, and overall impact.

A modern house with stone and wood exterior sits on a rocky terrain surrounded by green shrubs and trees, overlooking a golf course with lush fairways and tall trees under a partly cloudy sky.

How we worked together

Bringing The Outpost Station to life required careful coordination and constant alignment with Scenic Land Company LLC to ensure the design intent was clear at every stage. Here’s how we approached the project to keep stakeholders informed and confident throughout the process.

Start with White Clay: We began with uncolored, massing-focused renderings so the client could confirm layouts, scale, and overall flow before moving into detailed visuals.

Make Feedback Visual: Client notes on bunkers, terrain, and fairway flow were incorporated directly onto the renderings to ensure precise understanding and alignment.

Refine with Color and Detail: Once layouts were approved, we introduced color, textures, and architectural details, including key updates such as darker emerald grass, vertical charred wood siding, and more realistic stone textures, while also adjusting terrain, tree density, cliff edges, and building materials to reflect real-world references.

Iterate and Align: Revisions were carefully reviewed, including building orientation and material finishes, allowing the team to converge on a final, cohesive vision without confusion.

Deliver a Unified Experience: By refining terrain, landscape, and architectural elements in parallel, the final renderings clearly communicated the course, buildings, and dramatic cliffside environment to stakeholders.

The renderings

The Outpost Station project proved that great 3D visualization is not just about realism.
It’s about storytelling.
When terrain, trees, architecture, and atmosphere all work together, stakeholders don’t just see a plan, they feel the future of the project.
And for a destination as dramatic as The Outpost Station, that clarity made all the difference.
